Padraic
After working in various sectors of the equine industry including show jumping, showing, racing and breeding Padraic qualified as a Riding Instructor.
He has served as a Master Trainer for the Central Performance Testing of Registered Connemara Pony Stallions. Padraic established the Clew Bay Trail Ride in 1995 as he perceived a market for a quality equestrian product in the beautiful Clew Bay region. Since then people from all over the world have enjoyed this unique experience. He felt that traditional horse training methods did not always meet the needs of the horse and he believed that if people could understand and communicate better with horses, life would be better not only for the horses but for people too.
When he discovered Monty Roberts Concepts, he decided to learn more. He travelled initially to the UK to study with Kelly Marks, then to the Monty Roberts International Learning Center in California to further his education in this trust based non-violent way of training horses and qualified as a Certified Monty Roberts Instructor in 2015. When he is not riding on the trail Padraic is busy training horses and people as well as offering Horsemanship Courses and Clinics in Monty’s Methods.
